The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has warned that employers failing to provide mandatory accommodation and transportation for corps members will be blacklisted. During a visit to Kogi State, Nafiu emphasized that the scheme would no longer tolerate organizations using corps members as free labor without fulfilling their welfare obligations. This policy shift is part of a broader federal initiative to reform the NYSC, which recently received approval for structural changes, including extending orientation periods and transitioning to locally produced uniforms to support domestic manufacturing.
