Coronation Merchant Bank has appointed Obeahon Ohiwerei as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, following regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Nigeria. Ohiwerei, a seasoned banker with over three decades of experience including previous leadership roles at Keystone Bank and Access Bank, succeeds Paul Abiagam. The transition follows the bank’s successful recapitalization and ten-year anniversary. Additionally, the bank has strengthened its board with the appointment of Nana-Adjua Mensah and Adetola Owolabi as Independent Non-Executive Directors.
