Oyo State has reported a strong fiscal performance for the first half of 2026, achieving 91.2% of its revenue target with N406.9 billion generated. Expenditure for the same period stood at N345.7 billion, representing 77.5% of the projected budget. The government also confirmed plans to deploy 50 electric buses to improve public transit and reduce commuting costs across the state. Officials credited these results to improved revenue mobilization and prudent financial management under Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
