Aliko Dangote to Commit One-Third of Wealth to Philanthropy

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, plans to donate one-third of his wealth to charity as part of his succession strategy. According to his daughter, Halima Dangote, this commitment represents 33% of his estimated $35.1 billion net worth, totaling approximately $11.7 billion. The funds will be managed through the Aliko Dangote Foundation, which focuses on health, education, and humanitarian initiatives across Africa. Established in 1994, the foundation currently spends over N50 billion annually on social impact programs.
