The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy has partnered with the Rivers State government to launch the Renewed Hope Cultural Project, an initiative designed to identify and promote cultural assets to boost tourism. While the agreement establishes a framework for institutional development, industry experts argue that the project lacks a critical commercial component. Analysts note that for the creative economy to be sustainable, the master plan must integrate professional retail and workspace planning from the outset to drive job creation and long-term private investment, rather than relying solely on cultural heritage preservation.
