The Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) has called for a strategic shift from merely generating agricultural technologies to building integrated ecosystems that allow proven innovations to reach smallholder farmers at scale. During the 9th Africa Agricultural Science Week in Abuja, industry experts and policymakers highlighted the need for coordinated investments in agricultural extension, market access, and sustainable financing to drive food security across the continent. Citing successful models like the Kano State Agropastoral Development Project, SAA emphasized that transforming African agriculture requires moving beyond pilot projects to creating profitable, farmer-centered value chains.
