Local Refineries Receive 53.7 Million Barrels of Crude in Q2 2026

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has reported that local refineries received 53.7 million barrels of crude oil and condensate during the second quarter of 2026. This achievement represents a 97.4% performance against Domestic Crude Supply Obligations (DCSO) mandated by the Petroleum Industry Act. The NUPRC noted that the increase in supply is supported by higher national production levels and the formalization of long-term bankable supply agreements. While the Dangote Refinery remains the largest domestic recipient, the commission continues to enforce a willing-buyer, willing-seller framework to bolster national energy sufficiency.
