Scholars at Modibbo Adama University in Yola have advocated for a more strategic Nigeria-China partnership focused on technology and knowledge transfer to boost local industrial growth. During a seminar hosted by the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, academic experts emphasized that bilateral relations should prioritize skills acquisition, joint research, and infrastructure development to address Nigeria’s economic challenges, including youth unemployment and local manufacturing gaps. The speakers urged the government to establish technical training centers and leverage academic mobility to transition Nigeria from a consumer of technology to an active contributor to global innovation.
