The Nigerian federal government has partnered with digital platform MyCityApp to launch a 100-day tourism campaign titled Ember to Remember. Running from September to December, the initiative aims to capture the festive season’s economic potential and contribute to the administration’s goal of building a 1 trillion dollar economy. Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy Hannatu Musawa stated that the campaign seeks to formalize tourism data, upgrade infrastructure, and drive job creation in the creative and hospitality sectors. The government is also coordinating with private sector partners to develop a national tourism calendar, with a stakeholders conference scheduled for September 14, 2026, in Lagos.
