The Federal Government has formally requested the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to update the three-letter location code for Osubi Airport in Delta State. Currently designated as QRW, which is linked to Warri, the government seeks a new code to improve geographical accuracy and align with the airport’s official name. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has directed local aviation agencies and airlines to ensure all documentation reflects the Osubi designation to reduce ambiguity. Suggested alternatives for the new code include OSU, OSB, SUB, and QSB.
