Meta has partnered with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, and Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN) to launch AI Academy Nigeria.

The initiative aims to boost national AI capacity through three core tracks: AI skills development, a six-week developer bootcamp, and an AI startup pitchathon. The pitchathon offers winning startups $5,000 in cash funding, $2,000 in Meta advertising credits, and the opportunity to pitch at Meta’s global AI summit in Istanbul. Applications for the pitchathon close on August 21, 2026, with the final pitch session scheduled for September 3 at GITEX Nigeria.
