The ECOWAS Commission has received over 6,000 applications for the second edition of the ECOWAS Startup Awards. The program aims to support regional economic growth by providing mentorship, market access, and funding to innovative businesses. Sixty startups will be selected for capacity-building training, leading to 20 finalists. The top three performers will receive a combined $65,000 in seed capital, with prizes of $30,000, $20,000, and $15,000. The event, running from September 21 to 30, covers sectors including fintech, health-tech, and agriculture.
