Femi Otedola has further consolidated his position as the majority shareholder of First HoldCo Plc by acquiring an additional 147.74 million ordinary shares for N20.68 billion. The transaction, executed through his investment vehicle, Calvados Global Services Limited, at N140 per share, raises Otedola’s total stake in the financial services group to approximately 26.5 percent. This acquisition is part of the billionaire investor’s stated strategy to secure a controlling interest of over 51 percent to drive the firm’s ongoing transformation and restructuring initiatives. First HoldCo shares have seen significant growth this year, posting a year-to-date gain of approximately 192.3 percent.
