MAN Demands Forex Payout and Tax Law Clarity from Government

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has urged the federal government to settle outstanding foreign exchange forward obligations owed to its members to restore investor confidence. At its 59th Annual General Meeting in Lagos, the association also demanded immediate clarity on the 2025 tax laws, specifically cautioning against any retroactive implementation. MAN President Francis Meshioye highlighted that high energy costs, elevated interest rates, and regulatory bottlenecks remain significant impediments to industrial growth. The association emphasized the need for consistent policy reforms to shift the economy from import-dependence to local production.
