Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) is upgrading its oil asset surveillance operations in the Niger Delta through the acquisition of three Aerosonde Mk. 4.7 vertical takeoff and landing unmanned aircraft from U.S.-based Textron Systems. The contract, signed in late 2025, aims to bolster the company’s existing pipeline monitoring capabilities, which have been credited with reducing oil theft and increasing national production quotas since the firm’s engagement by the Federal Government. The initiative is part of a broader strategy involving advanced sensor integration and AI-driven threat detection to secure critical national infrastructure. Stakeholders, including the House Committee on Host Communities, have recently reaffirmed support for Tantita’s operations, citing improved stability and economic recovery in oil-producing regions.
