The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has reported a 30% surge in net income to $534.7 million for the first half of 2026, up from $412.7 million in the same period last year. The growth was driven by a 22% increase in net interest income and an expansion in lending, with net loans and advances rising to $35.4 billion. Asset quality improved, with the non-performing loan ratio dropping to 2.20%.
