Nigeria has made its debut at Gamescom 2026, the world’s largest gaming event, with the launch of the inaugural "Games from Nigeria" pavilion in Cologne. A delegation of developers, studios, and publishers utilized the three-day platform to showcase original intellectual property and attract international investment, distribution partners, and publishers. Led by Maliyo Games founder Hugo Obi, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between Nigeria’s emerging gaming ecosystem and the global market, positioning the country as a hub for both gaming talent and sustainable content production.
