Nigeria currently exploits only 5% of its real estate potential, according to My-ACE China, the chairman of Mayor of Housing Group. Highlighting that Nigeria is Africa’s largest real estate hub with a market value of $2.6 trillion, China suggests that institutionalization, improved land regulation, and enhanced trust could drive a significant surge in foreign investment. He specifically identified Port Harcourt as a high-growth investment destination, projecting higher returns compared to the more saturated markets of Lagos and Abuja. To unlock this value, he urged state governments to digitize land administration and enforce stricter penalties for land fraud.
