Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has announced approval for a 1.6 million dollar, 350-kilowatt hydropower project and a 7.5-megawatt gas-fired turbine to power government facilities. These energy initiatives are part of a broader infrastructure and economic growth strategy, which includes over 200 kilometres of completed road projects, a new flyover in Akure, and significant investments in healthcare and agriculture. The government also confirmed that Dangote Group has returned to the state to pursue major industrial projects, including a proposed 500,000 barrels-per-day refinery.
