Dangote Petroleum Refinery is reportedly considering restricting petrol supplies to domestic marketers who continue to import Premium Motor Spirit (PMS). The move follows concerns that some marketers are blending imported fuel of uncertain quality with Dangote-refined products, potentially damaging the brand’s reputation. The refinery has also cited a lack of adequate regulatory laboratory infrastructure to verify the quality of imported products, fueling the tension as Nigeria shifts toward domestic refining.
