The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has officially launched the reconstruction of a 15.4-kilometre section of the Benin-Sapele Expressway, a critical economic corridor linking Nigeria’s South-South region to the South-West and North. Acting on a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the NDDC has engaged two contractors—CCECC and Ronin and Fan Limited—to expedite the repairs using rigid concrete pavement. The project aims to alleviate long-standing infrastructure challenges and improve connectivity, with Delta State officials pledging their cooperation to ensure timely completion.
