The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) continues to advance its healthcare strategy through its subsidiary, MedServe, aimed at reducing medical tourism and strengthening domestic clinical capacity. Since its inception, MedServe has delivered over 25,000 radiotherapy sessions and 10,000 chemotherapy treatments, an effort estimated to have saved over US$200 million in foreign exchange outflows. The authority is now scaling its operations with a 24.3 million dollar blended financing deal from the IFC and IDA to expand into 13 states. This next phase includes the development of additional oncology centers, diagnostic facilities, and the introduction of cardiac catheterization laboratories, supported by technical partnerships with Siemens and GE.
