The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) reported a profit after tax of N279 billion for July 2026, marking a 47.9% decline from the N535 billion recorded in June. Revenue also dropped by 29.7% to N3.087 trillion during the same period. The company attributed the weaker performance to lower crude and gas output, citing operational disruptions including facility outages, equipment unavailability, and pipeline incidents. Crude oil production averaged 1.68 million barrels per day in July, down from 1.72 million in June, while gas production saw a 4.5% decline. Despite these operational challenges, the company’s cumulative statutory payments to the Federation reached N7.913 trillion between January and July 2026.
