Nomba Secures $3 Million Debt Facility for Cross-Border Expansion

Lagos-based fintech startup Nomba has secured a $3 million debt facility from CardinalStone Finance Company Limited to scale its cross-border payment infrastructure. The funds will enhance liquidity for its operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which currently serves as a settlement hub for trade between Central Africa and Asia. Nomba aims to leverage this capital to facilitate faster settlement speeds across international trade corridors as it eyes further expansion into Zambia and Uganda. The company is reportedly planning a larger capital raise of between $20 million and $50 million in the coming months to support its ongoing growth.
