Dangote Refinery Launches Historic 2.15 Trillion Naira IPO

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE has officially launched its Initial Public Offering, targeting approximately 2.15 trillion Naira, or 1.6 billion dollars. The offer involves 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at 525 Naira each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares. Scheduled to open on September 14 and close on October 13, the IPO aims to fund the expansion of the refinery’s daily processing capacity to 1.4 million barrels by 2028. The deal, valued at roughly 49 billion dollars, has received regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission and is being positioned as a broad-based opportunity for retail and institutional investors to acquire a stake in the facility.
