Brent Crude Crosses 100 Dollar Threshold Amid Middle East Tensions

Brent crude prices have surpassed the 100 dollar per barrel mark for the first time since July, driven by escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. The recent strike on three Iranian oil tankers, following attacks on U.S. warships, has intensified fears regarding global supply disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz. Goldman Sachs analysts have warned that crude prices could climb further to 120 dollars per barrel if shipping conflicts in the Middle East continue to intensify.
