The Federal Government and the Lagos State Government have established a partnership to launch the 24/7 Energy Zones pilot, an initiative aimed at providing uninterrupted electricity to commercial and industrial hubs. Approved by President Bola Tinubu, the project will begin in Lagos before expanding to the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano and Enugu-Port Harcourt corridors. Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have formed a Joint Technical Committee to facilitate the initiative, focusing on grid stabilization, market liquidity, and regulatory harmony to create a competitive electricity market.
