OPEC+ Agrees to Marginal Production Quota Hike for September

OPEC+ nations, led by Saudi Arabia and Russia, have reached a preliminary agreement to increase production quotas by 188,000 barrels per day starting in September. While the move is largely symbolic due to ongoing regional conflict-related supply constraints, it provides a framework for scaling up production once conditions stabilize. The adjustment aims to prepare for a potential global supply surplus and alleviate pressure on fuel costs, which have contributed to inflationary concerns.
