The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has issued a directive mandating that all businesses operating in Lagos disclose any material changes to products, including alterations to ingredients, quality, quantity, packaging, or labelling. General Manager Afolabi Solebo stated that undisclosed modifications intended to mislead consumers will not be tolerated. The agency plans to intensify market surveillance and warned that non-compliance will attract sanctions under the Lagos State Consumer Protection Law and federal regulations. Businesses are also required to ensure standardized display of production, expiry dates, and batch information.
