The Imole Campaign Council, representing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has raised concerns regarding the deployment of armed security personnel to the residence of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun. According to the campaign, over 10 vehicles surrounded and sealed off the Speaker’s home on election day, restricting the movement of those inside. Efforts by the campaign to secure clarification from the Commissioner of Police and other security officials have remained unsuccessful. The incident has intensified concerns regarding electoral security in the state, with authorities yet to issue a statement on the purpose of the deployment.
