Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has been re-elected Governor of Osun State after securing 511,067 votes. He defeated his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 444,815 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed the results across all 30 local government areas, marking the final off-cycle gubernatorial election before the 2027 general elections. The victory follows a period of heightened scrutiny surrounding the state’s finances and recent interventions by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
