FAAN Seeks New Operational Framework for E-hailing Services at Airports

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is developing a new operational framework to regulate Uber, Bolt, and other e-hailing services at the nation’s airports. FAAN stated that the initiative aims to enhance passenger safety, security, and accountability by ensuring e-hailing operations align with the regulatory standards of the airport environment. The authority clarified that these discussions are separate from the Airport Car Hire Rank Management System (ACHRAMS) and are not intended to prohibit e-hailing services or restrict passenger transportation options. Negotiations are ongoing to integrate these platforms into the airport’s security and operational protocols.
