Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has praised the Seplat Energy Joint Venture’s Teachers’ Empowerment Initiative (STEP), urging participating educators to shift from traditional rote learning to practical, skill-based teaching. The program, which focuses on teacher mentorship and innovation, concluded with an entrepreneurship challenge where teachers showcased practical business ventures. Nwachukwu Choice Oleji took the top prize for an antiseptic production concept, receiving a 500,000 naira grant, while other participants received funding for concepts including food processing and vocational skills. The initiative, supported by NEPL and the NNPC, aims to foster community development and improve educational standards in oil-producing regions of the state.
