The Federal Government has set a 2031 completion target for the Trans-Sahara Superhighway, a strategic infrastructure project aimed at boosting security, commerce, and agricultural logistics. Minister of Works David Umahi confirmed the timeline during an inspection of construction sections spanning Benue, Ebonyi, and Enugu states. While the project is intended to improve regional connectivity, the government admits that funding constraints and the need for continued policy implementation remain significant challenges to meeting the 2031 deadline.
