FG Probes N120bn Power Loss on Ikorodu-Sagamu Corridor

The Federal Government has initiated a forensic investigation into an estimated N120 billion power loss along the Ikorodu–Sagamu transmission corridor. The probe follows the discovery of 100 megawatts of energy discrepancies, suspected to be caused by electricity theft and metering irregularities. Power Minister Joseph Tegbe has mandated a thorough audit of industrial consumers to protect market revenue. Additionally, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has declared force majeure on the Birnin Kebbi–Niamey transmission line after the collapse of three towers due to severe weather.
