President Bola Tinubu has unveiled a strategic roadmap aimed at transforming Nigeria into a 1 trillion dollar economy by 2030. Speaking at an APC policy roundtable in Abuja, the President identified infrastructure expansion, a five-port maritime corridor, and increased manufacturing and exports as pillars for this growth. While noting progress in macroeconomic stability—such as a 4.43 percent GDP growth in Q2 2026 and rising non-oil revenue—he emphasized that the goal is to convert these gains into tangible living standard improvements for citizens. The administration plans to connect key ports in Lagos, Ondo, Ibom, Port Harcourt, and Calabar via rail and road networks to establish a regional logistics hub.
