Nigeria Partners with IEA to Boost Energy Data and Investment

Nigeria has officially signed a Joint Work Programme with the International Energy Agency (IEA) following its admission as an Association country. This partnership aims to enhance energy data development and foster evidence-based policymaking to drive investment in the sector. Vice President Kashim Shettima stated that the collaboration will grant Nigeria access to the agency’s global networks and technical expertise, supporting government reforms in clean energy, gas markets, and broader energy value chain improvements.
