The World Bank has upgraded Nigeria’s 2026 economic growth forecast to 4.3%, up from its previous 2025 projection of 4.0%. According to the lender’s latest Africa Economic Update, growth is expected to rise further to 4.4% annually through 2027 and 2028. This positive outlook is driven by increased macroeconomic stability, growing investor confidence, and a gradual recovery in private investment. The revision follows recent data from the National Bureau of Statistics showing a 4.43% year-on-year GDP expansion in the second quarter of 2026.
