Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has unveiled Milsat as the Nigerian technology firm behind the country’s newly launched National Digital Postcode system. The startup, which transitioned from a 2023 pilot project to delivering the national infrastructure, was also instrumental in mapping over 65 million properties for the National Population Commission’s digital census efforts. The system, officially launched on October 1, 2026, utilizes an 11-character alphanumeric code to streamline e-commerce, emergency response, and public service delivery across Nigeria. NIPOST, Meeds Network Limited, and the National Population Commission were also recognized for their roles in the project.
