Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio and Heirs Holdings Chairman Tony Elumelu have rallied West African private sector leaders to drive regional economic integration ahead of the inaugural West Africa Integration and Investment Summit. Meeting in Lagos, the Private Sector Advisory Board focused on mobilising capital for energy, strategic minerals, agribusiness, and digital transformation. The summit, scheduled for November 17–18, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, aims to transition the region from economic potential to tangible industrial growth and job creation through cross-border investment.
