Samsung Electronics has forecasted a record-breaking quarterly operating profit of 107.4 trillion won, approximately 80.17 billion dollars, for the third quarter of 2026. This projection, which would be the highest ever recorded by a tech firm, represents a nearly nine-fold year-on-year increase. The surge is primarily attributed to robust demand for artificial intelligence-driven memory chips, which has outpaced global supply. While revenue is expected to rise by 127 percent, investors remain cautious due to potential risks from Chinese competition and a projected moderation in memory price growth. The company will release its detailed financial results on October 29.
