The World Bank Group is spearheading an initiative to mobilize $5.79 billion in private financing for Nigeria throughout the 2026 fiscal year. This capital deployment targets critical sectors including digital infrastructure, agriculture, and support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Key programs include the BRIDGE Project, which seeks to expand broadband access and attract up to $1.1 billion by 2030, and the FINCLUDE initiative, projected to support 850,000 jobs. Additionally, the AGROW project aims to enhance agricultural productivity for one million smallholder farmers. The institution noted that recent economic reforms, including changes to FX management and fuel subsidies, have been instrumental in improving the investment climate. Recent IFC-facilitated investments have already provided substantial backing to major players like Dangote Industries, Indorama Fertilizer, and IHS Towers.
