MeCure Industries Plc has received shareholder approval to increase its capital-raising target from N30 billion to N50 billion. The additional funding aims to support factory expansion, strengthen the company’s balance sheet, and facilitate the commercialization of 19 new pharmaceutical products. This decision follows a strong 2025 financial year, during which the firm reported a 177.5% surge in profit after tax to N6.46 billion and a 68.8% increase in revenue. Shareholders also approved a dividend payout of 32 kobo per share. MeCure intends to use the capital to navigate ongoing inflationary pressures and foreign exchange volatility while expanding its footprint into West African markets, including Sierra Leone.
