Nigerian Breweries Plc has reported strong first-half 2026 financial results, characterized by a return to a net cash position and the elimination of interest-bearing debt. The company recorded a profit after tax of N92.95 billion, a 5 percent increase from N88.42 billion in the same period last year. Profit before tax rose 18 percent to N156.33 billion, driven by revenue growth of 9 percent to N803.68 billion, supported by strategic brand investments and revenue management initiatives. Notably, the firm cleared its accumulated losses, with retained earnings moving into positive territory at N13.65 billion. While operating expenses rose due to higher distribution and marketing costs, the significant reduction in finance costs bolstered overall profitability.
